It seems ridiculous, but they're probably waiting to see how people react to
Rock Band. There was a definite negative reaction to the Yellow Submarine
remixes, but frankly I think those old "fake stereo" mixes just make the
Beatles sound more and more like artifacts of the Sixties. I verily wept the
first time I heard Love (and, for that matter Let It Be/Naked), realizing
just how incredible the recordings are, but are buried in outdated mixes...
But a majority of Beatle fans are also Beatle fetishists..... ;)
