Think you're too hard on IV, Rich. It's *fun*, it's Pynchon taking a well-known, much-loved genre, and giving it a twist. It's light, but not so light that it's without substance. As a summation of a career, he gave us Against the Day. This is more like a little bonus of a coda. Unless of course, there's more to come.
