True but if you look up the address of the LAX Imperial Terminal it's
6601 WEST Imperial Highway (no 'the') which is why I was confused.

PS--But correct me again if I'm totally out to lunch.

Of course they don't put 'the' in a written address, but
conversationally, or in a sentence from a narrator like in IV, it
would always have 'the.' Furthermore, in the postmodern usage of
Menippean satire it is considered appropriate to abbreviate concepts,
but not to omit articles.

(In addition, I haven't been correcting you, but giving further
support to your original position.)

However, if you MapQuest the airport you will see that both the East
and West Imperial Highways are south of the airport, just east of
East and West Imperial Avenue (which may continue to run alongside
and/or beneath the freeway). The reference to Watts is from someone's
erroneous Wikipedia entry and is not mentioned at all by Pynchon in
IV. Therefore, the issue of the missing article becomes the defining
matter, one that is black and white and not subject to interpretation
except from the perspective of some obscure Eastern philosophical
perspectives, most to which I subscribe rendering me in further
agreement with all positions you have taken henceforth and a priori.
