IVIV, Doc Quixote?

for whatever  reason, obtuseness or insufficient literacy,
Don Quixote didn't click for me as a reference until you mentioned it.

I was thinking more of Hunter Thompson hanging out with
his lawyer.  Which, in a trilateral commission of references,
now reminds me also of Don Quixote a bit.  In a twisted way, of course.
