IVIV Why 'chocolate-covered bananas? p.22

Apart from the obvious reasons for TRP to choose the banana, my mind
went straight to the television show Arrested Development when I came
across this particular dish in the book. There were other instances in
which I thought Tommy was alluding to the show, from the chocolate
bananas to the housing units and what not, among others. The show does
a better job of explaining itself than I ever could, and provides
surprising lucidity and conciseness despite the many superficually
superfluous tangents and tirades. It's also an uproarious satire.
