do you think Lovecraft's influence on Pynchon is just as great as
Hawthorne and Melville's--I find good ole H.P. in every one of the
four big books
Pynchon is obsessed with inheritance something Lovecraft in his world
is very much attuned to in all those tales of wretched new england
ancestors and their sickly and morbid ancestors of today
I, for one, think this a great avenue for study if it hasn't already been.
