Not sure, but I trust your reading of it and will re-read PSLC with P
in mind. The gothic strain in American Literature runs from those
TULIP Puritans, Wigglesworth and Bradstreet to the Dark Romantics,
Hawthorne Melville, Poe, to the Modern and postmodern, including,
Queer and Feminist, African American, Truman Capote, Harper Lee, Toni
Morrison.
