David Mitchell: Der Wolkenatlas

I've finished "Der dreizehnte Monat" last week and I agree, it's "less
obviously brilliant" but still brilliant, a lot of good jokes (a
psychotic school-bus driver called Norman Bates for example).

I'm looking forward to his next one.
