John Hawkes

I studied under John Hawkes at Brown.  He was a truly despicable human
being.  Moved on to work with Michael Harper, who was less horrible.  Verlin
Cassill was the only truly decent one there...oddly considering graduate
students to be the equivalent of human beings!
