Ok, two main points:
(a) 'Constructing' Strawberry Fields Forever, no matter how great a
track that is, is a very different proposition to writing Gravity's
Rainbow;
(b) John Lennon was not tripping whilst recording Strawberry Fields Forever.

True.

Be that as it may, it doesn't mean he wrote them whilst stoned. You
have 'reason to believe'! What does that mean? We've all read the same
Pynchon books, articles, biographical fragments, p-list archives,
Jules Siegel's reminiscences, etc.

Please, can you drop the 'I know and you don't' tone? Any chance of that?
