You rather idiotically assume that I assume that my opinion of McEwan is also Pynchon's? Where did I say anything which even vaguely suggested that I think any such thing? I did not say "Pynchon pitched in to defend McEwan, despite the fact that Pynchon regards McEwan's work as mediocre."
Since you are (a) launching yet another of your trademark personal attacks, (b) basing your 'argument' on the straw-man claim that I think I know what P thinks of another author, and (c) an irritating but ultimately pathetic wee scrote, I'm not going to bother reading any more of the email you sent to the p-list but mysteriously omitted to cc directly to me.
