well, I'm probably not going to win a lot of adherents, but for me...
when Frenesi takes up the gun, she begins working for the Man. In
this case, explicitly: the notion of Brock's like training wheels.
But the general instance is plain enough. When there's a gun in your
camera bag, the doctrinaire elements (Rex) will use it to martyrize
the attractive, charismatic elements (Weed) and the only winner is the
military-industrial complex. Even if you're a ninja (DL) your efforts
will often enough hit the wrong target (Takeshi). Being that it's all
a celebration of markets anyway, the only force in society with the
requisite cynicism to thrive in and enjoy it is the Mob (Wayvone).
Luckily the stoners among us (Zoyd) aren't paying attention, and they
are able to retain a shred of decency to pass along to the next
generation.
