You made me focus on, and "realize"--if I am right---this:

In TRP's work, artificial light is a steady symbol of BAD SHIT. See
those streetlights in AtD....see the year that V. was born=
year of first streetlights.....

see all the way from V......

So, here, DL sees a poor forked human being, the only human being
she can make out visually working the artificial lights which ruin her
view of other human beings at the awful auction....

And have we commented on that line re the auction: "Relax and enjoy it",
that line sometimes used by the cruelly-insensitive to rape victims.

There are two auctions in TRPs work. (More I've forgotten?). Compare and contrast.
