"A screaming" - question to native speakers

The indefinite-article + verbal-noun form is associated with with
particularly modern ways of thinking about events:
"A happening" (in art).
"A becoming" (used in translations of Deleuze, as an equivalent of an
infinitive-noun which english doesn't have. It has the sense of
something both already-passed and yet-to-come).

The form is can also be used to describe effects detatched from their
objects, as in hallucinations ("there is a murmuring in my head" ).
The heavens are apt to provide many such effects.
