Is there even a word for hating men, as opposed to misogynist for hating women?  Misanthrope isn't it. Is it because everyone hates men? It's okay to hate particular women, e.g. one's ex, but not the whole gender, for Mary's sake!  I think that TRP loves and hates women, perhaps not so much as a matter of degree as qualitatively differently from his love/hate for men and all mankind.

Mr. P is, if anything, to quote a description of early Elvis Costello, too late the misanthrope.  Hence the irony and PoMo dispassion.  Even so, I say love'em, hate'em, people is all we got, and I happen to be partial to womanity!
