If Proust had ukes - or nukes - he'd be UFC Champ.  I find myself shooting all kinds of things out of my nose while reading ISOLT.  The P-list (Pynchon list that is) are much more entertaining than any other list.  I have not once see somebody wanting to gouge another person's eyes out on the alternate P-list (Proust) over how long it took the candle to go out while Swann was thinking about the types of strokes that were used while creating the painting hanging from his wall.  

BTW
Those other P(roust)-listers are very inciteful on a full body of work that I find difficult yet enjoyable to read.  There's alot of good stuff going on over there.
