IV available today in UK?

The store is surely right and legally able to sell IV.

If a title does not have an embargo UNTIL a specially designated day of sale, then books are shipped 3 to 6 weeks ahead of the official publication day---so that they will be in all stores by that publication day.

That Amazon copy is surely an early 'review' copy, or publisher rep copy or book buyer's copy that Amazon has for sale----where "used" means not from a publisher (ot wholesaler) direct.

Powell's is the sometimes-buried copmany behind those early finished copies, since many 'sell' copies to them...
