  IV is probably more on the "scholarly" level of "Entertainment Weekly" than "Pynchon Notes" (except for Pynchon Notes inherent fan-boyish nature).

  We really have to wait for New York Revview of Books or something like it to get some idea of the worth of the thing.
  Short of reading it, of course.
