Woody was at his best as a stand-up comic,

= .  It’s my guess that OBA would be more of a fan of his verbal comedy,
which is more writerly, than his movies.  Woody’s post-Manhattan movies
don’t bear revisiting.  It’s no wonder he left Farrow and tried to get a
little juice back in his life.
