And, "The Secret Swinger", closer to TRP than Updike or Roth, say, about a guy who 'goes underground' [to Greenwich Village] from his life published in the same year as COFL49. 

Obviously, could not be any kind of influence but it had some popularity---and shows how 'in the air' some
dominant culture/underground concepts were in serious writers of the time?
