in your mind

when Elliott Gould yells at the guy and then the little girl tells him about
the Lulu guy and he realizes, what the guy was getting at, just to watch
Elliott Gould playing that moment is a pleasure...

when Elliott Gould's friend tells him, "you're just a private dick and
you'll get broken off like these statues"

when Elliott Gould says that watching the guy is about as interesting as
lying on the linoleum on acid watching bacteria grow: according to Web info,
the screening audience thought this was corny and groaned, but I'm sorry, it
was a nice touch.  Screw those guys, I'm goin' home...
