Yes, sly stuff here on the page....Brock's "grand jury"?....She had trouble understanding what they wanted...maybe only her appearance before them.....[no indictment?, no particularity?] ........'trolley cars in grimy black webbing"...reminiscent of
Pynchon's vision of steel in GR, of electricity in AtD...."the grand jury already knew her story".........her whole
grand jury 'appearance' reminiscent of The Trial......then in the middle of that paragraph,
She woke in bedsheets, etc.....if a dream sequence, shouldn't it start a new paragraph?......unless her paranoia and reality
have merged?....
Later. "Who, again, did she understand this "they' to be?" They......that wonderful word from GR.....
