While reading the Shock Doctrine last year, I also read Ha-Joon  
Chang's "Bad Samaritans, the Myth of Free Trade and the Secret History  
of Capitalism". Chang takes on the Friedman's, both Tom and Milt; Tom  
for his "The Lexus and the Olive Tree" and Milt for essentially every  
thing he wrote about free trade. A good read with a different point of  
view by an economist at Cambridge.
