This (as it seems) inevitable personal bitchiness about political
questions is the reason that we've restrained from them mostly since
(correct me if I'm wrong) the post-9/11 discussions or the
"1984"-Foreword or the last "Vineland"-discussion.

As it seems it became obvious to most of the regular readers that
political discussions aren't good for discussions about literature.

Don't consider this post as list-nannyism, from my part feel free to
do as you like, this isn't a moderated list. But don't let the
political stuff take influence on your literary discussions because
I've enjoyed many insightful posts from both of you even if I did not
partake in the discussions.

You've got Obama - we'll get Merkel & Westerwelle in the fall...
