I don't know whether I should post lookups one-at-a-time for better
threading, or by the bunch.
I know I should start tomorrow, but here is some grist for the mill,
in case I sleep in.
p207: "hippiphanies" reminds me of James Joyce emphasis on literary
epiphanies. As I recall, his shtick about this is best recounted in
the earlier version of Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, titled
Stephen Hero.
p208: "Code 7" -- lunch break
p208: "Ralph's shopping bag" -- I seem to recall Johnny Carson talking
a lot about Ralph's Market, is this the same one that was on Sunset?
p208: "Cielo Drive" -- 10050 to be precise, scene of one of the Manson
family murders.

p209: "What's in 'em lingonberries, Bigfoot?" I expected to find some
intoxicating history, but I imagine that the choice of these mountain
cranberries, or foxberries, is the fact that popular as they are up
north, they remain for the most part a wild, not cultivated, food.

p210: "Brother Noguchi's shop" -- the L.A. County Coroner's office.
Thomas Noguchi is the infamous "coroner to the stars," having
autopsied Marilyn Monroe, Robert Kennedy, and Manson family murder
victim Sharon Tate.
