IVIV (13) synopsis, scene 1

The first scene in Chapter 13 is a one-on-one between Doc and Bigfoot.  
As Bjornsen digs into pancakes Doc is empathetic. There's talk that  
belongs outside the office, first about Coy Harlingen, and then Puck  
Beaverton. It is an information exchange, with some respect for each  
other traded alongside the facts. It seems to me that Doc gives a  
little more than he gets, but that seems to be his MO. The section  
ends with an exchange of jocular put-downs Doc landing the last one,  
topping Bigfoot's knowledge of forensic chemistry, despite his short- 
term memory issues. (207-213)
