IVIV Pynchon & TV; Agamben

If IV is meant somehow to portray Thomas Pynchon as Doc, then I'd say he's the kind of guy who likes to smoke a lot of dope and when stoned will watch whatever proves entertaining at the moment on the Tube and could very well develop all manner of Tubal addictions, not to mention staring off into the nearest body of water and especially the ocean. 

I've recently enjoyed reading Agamben's _The Open: Man and Animal_, thanks for the book referral, Dave!
