Doc and Bigfoot, standing on the corner of Santa Monica and Sweetzer.
Bigfoot asks Doc if he wants to take a stroll, seeing as they're both
parked pretty close, Doc goes along.
"After a few blocks, Bigfoot turned right and ambled down
toward Melrose. "This looking familiar yet?"
Good question. It's "Puck's old neighborhood", for one thing.
Reading the intro to "Citizen Hughes" we are led to 7000 Romaine,
Howard Hughes owned and operated, the place H.H. stored his memos,
broken into by forces unknown, June 5, 1974. How many is a few blocks?
Three? Six? Nine? Somewhere in the vicinity of nine blocks from Santa
Monica and Sweetzer, heading past Fairfax, taking a right towards
Melrose, we are in the general vicinity of 7000 Romaine. "Puck's old
neighborhood."
"Our favorite people and our favorite stories become so
not by any inherent virtue, but because they illustrate
something deep in the grain, something unadmitted."
