  Seems like the point of that insult in both cases is to deride the target for being a woman in a role usually held by a man.  That's not the first (or second, or third) thing I think of when I think of either Ayn Rand or Margaret Thatcher, neither of whom I am much fond.  So were I to want to insult them, I think I'd look for something less gender-specific.  Just my two cents.

  Though their politics may stink and Ayn's writing style is atrocious I find both women quite interesting. I'll probably read the new bio of Rand on the kindle.
  Only wish Pynchon hadn't completely abandoned populating his novels with a few obsessed characters.  

  I'd give a lot to be able to enjoy another Pointsman or equally weird Weissmann.
