I don't quite get your meaning.
Although hang on, I didn't realise fortnight (ie two weeks) isn't a
common word in the US.
Fortnight ties Trillium to Lew Basnight for me. Also: night. Which
makes them both more sympathetic characters in my P-universe.
Also it's extremely rare for Pynchon to use a character name twice.
