I haven't come across a Kennedy half-dollar in quite some time. I

What would come after Nixon? Reagan's image on a bouncing check? Obama's image on a multi-billion-dollar check to the banking industry? It does suggest that the American Dream (encompassing the Hippie dream) was still-born in the days of the Founding Fathers: the government always in cahoots with the private sector [from the Pursuit of Happiness (AKA Property) right on up to the United States of Goldman-Sachs].
