speaking just for myself, some of the things that others may have
mentioned but I got more interested in because of Robin's hammering:
Pynchon-Stearns
Pynchon yacht, Pynchon balloon patent (also linked by Dave Monroe, who
provides more raw data but less interpretation...usually)
Nature Boys
Meritorious Price
Hughes and his legacy

was already interested in anarchism

have difficulty understanding how Pynchon could be writing works
informed by occultism while at the same time satirizing them as TWITS,
but willing to consider the possibility...

just not that interested in noir to begin with, (not that I haven't
read a bunch of it) so he's saving me a lot
of investigative legwork with that angle

Anyway, bottom line: raw data - helpful, well selected, repeated
frequently enough (like a riff in good jazz) but not too much (from my
POV)

His interpretation - not always what I end up thinking, sometimes
useful anyway if only to refute

I understand not everybody might feel the same way. That's why I
chipped in. Let a thousand flowers (Harold) Bloom!
