Pynchon does more than use the Tarot to give structure to GR....There are "readings" with possible consequences in GR.....that is, meanings......
Or how do we read the "meanings"?.......

A...and, there are lotsa other occult usages that, to me, have ambiguity. 
In GR, we can, maybe, start with "the other side' in the religious sense.
