Thanks, Dave, for keeping the timetable and elucidating Chapter 8.
Here goes nuttin'...
the Derrick Theign's map view:
in chapter 9 Doc (with Denis) goes to the Topanga house of rock'n'roll
group the Boards. He spends about
9 pages there. 3 pages in the car gettin' the heck out of there and
gettin' to know Jade -
Denis especially.
3 pages visiting Bigfoot. The better part of 2 pages viewing footage
of Mickey's abduction
(Glen's demise) with his friend Farley. 3 pages getting with Luz in a
condemned house.
2 1/2 pages with Glen Charlock's sister Clancy, in Doc's office. 5
pages at Knucklehead
Jack's with Clancy and, mostly, with Boris, a former bodyguard of
Mickey Wolfmann.
("Murray Gell-Mann" has the same cadence, could this be a physics
reference? - IV, the
physics read...)
--------------
one sentence summary: Chapter 9 carries the action forward
and the detection onward revealing not only the whereabouts of Coy
Harlingen, Glen Charlock's expression as he met his end, and the depth
of Shasta's longing for Mickey, but also Bigfoot's chocolate-covered-banana
fixation and a few savory details from Jade's memory hoard.
