he hands him, not that he minds terribly much,
just bogarts it himself when he gets it back

she makes fun of the "poison green" Princess phone
Doc hands her to call Boris on (she thinks he might
know something more about Mickey's abduction
than just that Glen - her brother - got his quietus during it)

as she takes advantage of the long cord, nostalgic detail,
to try to get to a place in the room where Doc can't hear her,
he takes the hint and goes in the bathroom and starts
reading a Louis L'Amour western that "he'd forgotten was in there"
(okay, so he does read...)

but she sets up the meet, anyway...
