I'm picturing a man making a tentative move towards getting
acquainted with a woman, in a public place.  A sheltered woman,
and one who has - I can't see how one could completely deny this - thriven
within the relationship that began that day.

But then generalizing off that picture, which moved me...because it moved me...
trying to connect with a loftier symbolism I suppose, tongue slightly in cheek,
but not completely:
