Ig Nobels

Anyone who thinks Obama, or any other American president, will or even can
be remarkably better, remarkably more honest and "transformative" than his
predecessors, hasn't been paying much attention to history. Yes, I think
Bush was [insert your preferred derogatory word or phrase], and yes, I am
glad Obama won. However, I never expected a new day in American politics. He
is undoing some damage Bush inflicted, particularly in international
relations. But Guantanamo, redition, and the persecution of two wars are
still run out of the White House.

Obama has kept some of the worst powers (some cut from whole cloth) Bush
added to the Presidency. This should not be a surprise. It goes against
human nature to give away power.
