P's postmodernism is often identified as boundary crossing (may be
Trickster), systems within systems and antisystems, and screwing with
our assumptions between signifiers and the signified. After
thousands of pages of this crap, I don't find it at all useful to
hunt words for hidden meanings. There are no hidden meanings. They
smack you in the face. "Get a lot" is hidden in a context that
suggests "buying" a piece of property.
On page 196 Denis uses "Ostracizer" for Oster-izer. Could have been
a standard beach-freak pun. No trick here.
