IVIV (3) Swedish Fish (49) = wine jellies?

Swedish Fish (49), which the Wikipeda via Robin helpfully informs us  
are a kind of "chewy winegum candies" call to mind  the Disgusting  
English Candy Drill in GR (116):

"They go for things we would never dream of. Sometimes it is enough to  
turn your stomach, boy. The other day I had one of these things they  
call 'wine jellies.' That's their idea of _candy_, Mom! Figure out a  
way to feed that to Hitler 'n' I betcha the war'd be over  
_tomorrow_!" (GR 116)

IV is riddled with such allusions and references to Pynchon's previous  
work, as if IV might work as some kind of map to his earlier books -  
that's one way I'm reading it.
