John, you were doing great!
Hope your situation resolves pleasantly.
hittin' some high spots...
75: "hey, can I be frank for a minute"
(and "sang himself out the door with four bars of "Fly me to the Moon"
more or less on pitch")
ok, who's Ron Karenga?
wikipedia...dude invented Kwanzaa and the Million Man March,
but at the time of our story:
"In 1969, the Black Panthers and the US Organization, a more radical
group founded by Karenga, disagreed over who should head the new
Afro-American Studies Center at UCLA. According to a Los Angeles Times
article, Karenga and his supporters backed one candidate, the Panthers
another. The Black Student Union set up a coalition to try to bring
peace between the groups, which ended when two members of the Black
Panthers, John Jerome Huggins and Alprentice "Bunchy" Carter were shot
dead in an altercation..."
!! More radical than the Panthers !! -- dude ---
so the FBI's fine hand is detected in the internecine squablle,
or at least that hand for the purposes of our story is imputed anyway,
and our fictional
agents don't deny it...

"Our only hope today lies in our ability to recapture the
revolutionary spirit and go out into a sometimes hostile world
declaring eternal hostility to poverty, racism, and militarism." -
