How safe is it to say--insofar a sit is safe to say anything @ all
when it comes to Pynchon--that all the novels since The Crying of Lot
49--and even then ...--have to some extent, @ least, and in no small
part , in some cases, dealt with, say, the failure of the Left or
somesuch?  Certainly, the insinuation of Power in daily life, but ...
