funny u mention that but one of the best explanations I've read
describing the male orgasm was by a woman--Pat Barker in one of those
books in the Regeneration WW1 trilogy. the scene described is a sexual
encounter between one of the main characters, Billy Prior and another
man--might be in the Eye of the Door, not sure.
three great books that Regeneration trilogy tho the movie missed the
whole point of the books, or at least a major theme--men willing to
love each other in the trenches (as noted in GR--one of the few
instances in Pynchon (and its only an instant) where male
homosexuality is shown in a positive light) and the almost liberating
effect the war had on women in Britain.
can't think of any real positive instances of female homosexuality in
Pynchon (tho I do really like V. in Love--is that a DH Lawrence goof?)
