Why would a novelist write an encrypted critique of the CIA? Isn't it
more likely that, like his contemporaries, his fellow novelists, he
uses certain conspiracy theories in his works because they are handy?
Since his first published novel P has satirized the paronoid quest,
the paranoid conspiracy. Get it?
