Canadian poet Jason Guriel writes a rather funny and tongue-in-cheek
obituary for Alex Chilton and mentions Pynchon twice (GR and COL49).

Choice quote: 'Sherbert - like Thomas Pynchon's novel Gravity's Rainbow
(1973), that era's other great work of detumescence - is all about
exhaustion: rockets at the end of their arcs; fuselage at its most
flaccid; big stars imploding.'
