Time to pack up, go home

About McCarthy, I just started Sutree, and am liking it (my wife put
it down after a few pages, calling it "depressing"), but the writing
does require some pretty slow reading.  For many reasons (writing &
subject matter) it really does feel as if McCarthy was purposely
trying to do follow Faulkner's lead, and that's by no means a bad
thing.
