Beauvoir & V. in a C/c atholic Man's World

can't help remembering being tickled by somebody's imaginary diary,
describing how he invited Simone Simon, Simone Weil, and Simone de
Beauvoir to lunch, for a hoot...


checking my facts:
Simone Weil was the Christian mystic, (Wikipedia sez possible Catholic
baptism before her death) with like a pretty deep and respectable
philosophy (many paragraphs worth in Wikipedia), and also somewhat of
a hunger-artist...
   her progress is the one that sorta reminded me of V.

Simone Simon - actress (Cat People), "alleged by her secretary" (while
this person was on trial for extorting money from her) "to have given
a golden key to her boudoir to any man she was interested in,
including George Gershwin"

Simone de Beauvoir - beau of Sartre, feminist, author

(then there's Simone Signoret, who was in some movies that look pretty
interesting also)
