Great Dismal is Wm Gibson and this hazy thought occurred to me as we have 
discussed adams influence on TRP but
it is seldom so well-expressed as here. 
 
And we can see a change (in Adams influence) from V. to Lot 49.....as well as 
how sea-buried and sea-changed it becomes
after......
