Very thematic P--real life

It's up to parents, especially, to push back against efforts like this. Go
to board meetings, raise hell. If that doesn't work, run for school board.
(Some parents, unfortunately, like the idea of knowing where little Johnny
is every minute of the day.) This treatment of kids is pernicious -- one of
the drawbacks of social networking sites is that they create a lesser
expectation of privacy, at least among one's peers (social circle). These
things chip away at privacy -- of course, when they grow up and enter the
job market, some of these kids find their web writings and photos used
against them by potential employers.
