Several of us have already answered that question.  We disagree with
you about what is politically possible.

I am one of the unemployed Americans directly affected by this.  Lucky
me, I won't go hungry, but failure to extend benefits will be a
financial catastrophe for me.  Nonetheless, I'd rather accept that
this deal.
