A woman in the local paper, thinking the same about all the
services we get wrote that their reading group--or investment group--
or group group came up with this:

a box on the income tax form where we could check and send an
extra $20...tha's all.....$20 extra from @100 mil taxpayers ....

but of course most people don't even check if the box for having
$3 of what you pay go for campaigns or whatever it is...(see, I don't know)

How about a penny drive....Gov says we all gather them up and take them to
a bank, give them to the governmet by getting a receipt that the bank would
send the amount to the reserve?.....(just joking seriously)

it is kind of ironic, like rain on a wet day, to see the left mobilize
to preserve Bush's tax cuts - the middle class ones, that is, which
apparently did amount to the majority of the monies, contribute more
heavily to the deficit, and are much more widely spread, burdenwise...

Doesn't anybody else remember when the tax cuts came in, thinking,
this is paltry, I would much rather have a solvent government?
Not doing the tax cuts was how Clinton balanced the budget (insofar as
he can be said to have done so), right (along with some optimistic
bookkeeping)?
